இஸ்லாமிய அழைப்பு மற்றும் வழிகாட்டி மையம் தமிழ் பிரிவு அல்கோபர்

அல்கோபர் மாநகரில் புதிதாக தொடங்கப்பெற்ற இஸ்லாமிய அழைப்பு மற்றும் வழிகாட்டி மையத்தில் இன்ஷா அல்லாஹ் வருகின்ற ஜனவரி 18, 2007 ஹிஜ்ரி 29-12-1427 வியாழக்கிழமை முதல் வாராந்திர மார்க்க சொற்பொழிவு நிகழ்ச்சியும், இஸ்லாமிய(ஷரிஆ) வகுப்புகளும் ஆரம்பிக்கப'படவுள்ளன என்பதை மிக மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் தெரிவித்துக்கொள்கின்றோம். எனவு, தமிழறிந்த இஸ்லாமிய சகோதரர்கள் அனைவர்களும் தவறாமல் கலந்துகொண்டு பயன்பெற அன்புடன் அழைக்கின்றோம்.
 

• வாராந்திர மார்க்க சொற்பொழிவு நிகழ்ச்சி வயாழன்தோறும் இரவு 9 மணி முதல் 10.30 மணி வரை நடைபெறும்.
• இஸ்லாமிய பயிற்சி வகுப்புகள் வெளிதோறும் காலை 8 மணி முதல் 11 மணிவரை நடைபெறும்.
• மார்க்க சொற்பொழிவு நிகழச்சியில் கலந்து கொள்பவர்களுக்கும் சொற்பொழிவிலிருந்து கேட்கப்படும் கேள்விகளுக்கு பதிலளிப்பவர்களுக்கும் பெறுமதியான பரிசுகளும் வழங்கப்படும்.
• இஸ்லாமிய நிலையம் அல் மிறா பில்டிங்கில் (மதீனா ரெஸ்ட்டாரென்ட் எதிர்புறம்) உள்ள யுனிவைட் (UNIWIDE) சூப்பர் மார்க்கெட்டிற்கு மேல் அமைந்துள்ளது.

Fifteen distinguished overseas Indians were honoured

New Delhi: Fifteen distinguished overseas Indians, including Syed M.
Salahuddin and B.R. Shetty (UAE) and Indian American publisher Gopal Raju,
were honoured with the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman by President A.P.J. Abdul
Kalam on the concluding day of the 5th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas here
yesterday.

The largest number four of the awardees is from the United States. Two are
from the UAE and the others from the United Kingdom, Canada, Fiji, Portugal,
Kenya, Malaysia, Germany, Jamaica and South Africa.

The award winners are: Dave Sukhdip Singh Hayer (Canada), Sir Moti Tikaram (Fiji), Sibabrata Roy (Germany), P. Jayaraman, Nirmal K. Sinha, Dr M. Anirudhan and Gopal Raju (all from the US), Kenneth S. Benjamin (Jamaica), Pheroze Nowrojee (Kenya), Abdool Magid Abdool Karim Vakil (Portugal), Billy Nair (South Africa), Dr K.R. Somasundaram (Malaysia), Syed M. Salahuddin and
B.R. Shetty (UAE) and Lord Daljit Rana (United Kingdom).
Roy (Germany) and Nair (South Africa) could not attend the packed function
at the Vigyan Bhavan convention centre that included more than 1,100
delegates from as many as 47 countries.

Gopal Raju founded the New York-based India Abroad, the oldest and largest circulated newspaper serving the Indian American community, as well as the
India Abroad News Service that later became what is the present-day
Indo-Asian News Service (IANS).

He also started the Indian American Centre for Political Awareness (IACPA)
in 1994 to empower the community and to encourage them to participate in the
political process and public policy in the US.

Dave Sukhdip Singh Hayer has been playing an active leadership role in the
community and has held several important positions in the Canadian
government.

He is recognised for his contributions in the field of public service.
